We offer a comprehensive range of economical Butterfly Valves for general industrial and agricultural applications. Unlike most other valves, the metal body (cast iron) Butterfly Valve is more economical than the plastic version.

Now is a good time to explain some of the terminology used with Butterfly Valves in order to help you with your selection.

• Double Acting (DA) - Pneumatic actuator that requires a pneumatic signal to turn it on and a second signal to turn it off. Advantage: Fast operation and low cost.
• Single Acting (SA) - Pneumatic actuator with spring return that requires one signal to operate. Advantage: In the event of air failure the spring will 'Fail Safe'.
• Electric Actuated - Motor and gearbox drive - power open and power close. Slower acting (15-25 seconds). Advantage: Where no compressed air is available.

Typical applications are - water and wastewater treatment, pneumatic reticulation, cooling towers and agricultural spraying.

If the fluid or the environment is more aggressive then the plastic body Butterfly Valves should be considered.
