What is a Key Way to Star Drive Sleeve?
A star drive sleeve adapts a female square or star drive in an actuator to a male key way drive on a valve stem. The term Key way is used to describe a drive with a round circumference with a slot that protrudes in one spot (the key).

How does a Keyway to Star Drive Sleeve work?
The outside of the star drive fits into the female drive on an actuator. This will then have a smaller keyway drive inside it which allows an adaption between the two formats.

How long will my Keyway to Star Drive Sleeve last?
This will depend upon the cycle rate and fit into the actuator. The fit should be tight to avoid movement of the drive. If it is tight and your actuator is not hitting its stops with a high impact the drive should last the life of your valve.

How do I install a Keyway to Star Drive Sleeve between a valve & actuator?
The outside star drive will be inserted into the female port in the bottom of the actuator. It should also be tested to make sure it is tight on the male stem of the valve. Once you are sure the sizes and fitting is correct the drive may need to be pressed into the female actuator port with some force. Once this is in place the keyway male stem of the valve can be inserted into the square of the drive.

What are typical uses of a Keyway to Star Drive Sleeve?
These are used to adapt between different mounting drive standards. Keyway drive standard was very common in the past but is less so nowadays as most have moved to an ISO standard star or square drive. This adaptor allows you to interface both standards.

How long will my product take to get to me?
This depends upon where you are based and the freight method chosen. If the express freight option is selected it is usually next day delivery to metropolitan areas in Australia for under 5kg. If free freight has been selected it will go by road freight which can be anywhere from 1 to 10 days depending upon your location. It usually averages 3 days.

What warranty do I get?
All of our products come standard with a 12 month warranty. The good news is we have very strict quality controls and all product leaves our warehouse tested and inspected so there are rarely any issues. Also once your sleeves is in and operating it will most likely continue to do so for a very long time.
