LED illuminated plugs are proving very popular as they greatly assist in commissioning and allow for remote troubleshooting. Modern circuitry allows the units to be multi-voltage in both AC and non-popular DC current.
Additional versions include a metal oxide varistor (MOV) as well as the LED to eliminate transients generated by the collapse of the solenoid field.
Rectified plugs convert AC voltage to DC voltage and help increase valve selection or eliminate "mains hum" noise. Eg. where the fluid will attack the shading ring but the supply voltage is AC. |
